Stretch Calculator - the legend re-born....

What size, make, design, pressure? Who can stretch tyres? Tuck, rake, poke. Coilovers, roll (sway) bars, strut braces (tie bars), air-ride, hydraulics, camber plates/spherical bearings?

Stretch Calculator - the legend re-born....

Postby top fuel » 04 Feb 2008 14:38

Maybe a bit of a dramatic title...

There was an awesome little strech calculator made by some Belgian Dudes but the hosting seems to have died on it's arse...

Luckily Ryan/Stanton/Jesus saved it on the work PC, and I just stumbled accross is so thought I'd re-host it for you 'oribble lot!

peace out, and happy stretching!

Paul.

Should have asked me.. its been sat on the Retro Rides server for 3 years :D

I keep meaning to make a web-based version of it.

Yeah, The equation needs some tweaking. It might make sense technically, but reality stuff has a lot more stretch.

i never use it to see what stretch will look like, it's always way out.

however, when you're playing about with known and unknown wheel setups then it gives you a pretty good idea of whether it will or won't fit.

its prity straight forward to use...

original tyre size on the left.

new tyre size on the right.

simple.

im thinking a 135/45/14 on a 6" wide p slot would be good! just have to find that size tyre now!

i can find a 135/80 for around £20 but its a temp tyre. which isnt ideal!
