VW T4 alloy wheels

Postby T4 and more » 08 May 2017 18:53

Hi everyone. I have done a LOT of research but I have now drawn a blank on these wheels so am hoping someone on here can help me. I have just bought the wheels below for my VW T4. According to the T4 Forum they were an option on new T4 Caravelles and I believe also on VW T4 Westfalia campers. They were manufactured by SRF in France (which was bought out later by Borbet and has now ceased to trade) and they are JWL rated wheels. There are no obvious load rating stamps on the rear.

I have only managed to find a couple of pics of T4s fitted with them and all of them Westfalia campers. I love the wheels and want to fit them to my T4 but naturally I need to confirm they are load rated for my van; I need 800kg minimum. Is there anyone out there who can help shed light on these for me? Is there anyone on here who knows these wheels or has load rating info on them? Is there anyone who has pics of T4s fitted with them? Is there anyone who has pics from a sales brochure showing them fited or for sale? Is there anyone who can remember selling them at the time? All help greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance :D

A wheelwright is a craftsman who builds or repairs wooden wheels. The word is the combination of "wheel" and the archaic word "wright", which comes from the Old English word "wryhta", meaning a worker or maker. This occupational name eventually became the English surname Wheelwright.

Hey you guys,
I can't find these wheels anywhere. I heard they were Revolutions out of England, but can't back that up. I want to buy them but won't unless I know what they are for resale reasons. Any help would be awesome!
