YOUR FIRST... SET OF AFTERMARKET WHEELS!

Okay, well mine were kind of after market.

Bought a Mk2 Escort Mexico replica (white with flat-black bonnet), which came with period four-spoke RS rims out back and wider Mexico steels up front. Oh, and a 1660 cross-flow on twin 40s, too.

The Mk2 Scirocco on 17" Venoms (with standard ride height and big-bore zorst) came much later. What was I thinking???

Come on, don't be embarrassed...

Knowing that you used to rool with that scirocco makes me feel a whole lot better

My first set of aftermaket wheels were on my Renault5 GT turbo :? , this is hard to let out of the bag, but i'll spill the beans, TSW Blades 15'' looked amazing at the time, but not so nice now..

oh, with 195/50x15 tyres...OUCH!

My first aftermarket wheels were TSW Hockenhiem R's for my mk2 8v with a nice chunky 195-50-15 tyre, oh how things do change.

Nice wheels but terrible tyre choice, and the car was on stilts.

Thinking back, the first set of wheels i changed was on my Escort convertible (I was 17 and i didn't live in essex just so you know)

I did a Series RS Turbo Convertible conversion so got myself a set of Mint Geuine 15" RS 7 Spokes to replace the 14" Clover Leaf's, had them painted White with a blue pearl. Nice lol.

Those were the days when 17's were Huge

My first set of arftermarket wheels were a set of 7x16-inch TSW EVO-R's - (the ones with the genuine imitation blue centre cap for the essential toruing car look! I bought them from Demon Tweeks as a package wrapped in 195/45x16 Pirelli Drago P6000's. They were fitted to my 106 Quiksilver that was only 4 days old at the time! I miss living at home and having plenty of money

is it wrong that i bought a set of 7x17" phase one TSW Evos last year with no intention of fitting them to a car. I just wanted to own them and probably paint them satin black ;)

Old skool wheels make me smile.

1 type of wheel that i can happily say i haven't ever and never will own is a 3 Spoke.

Who is brave enough to own up to owning a set??

Maybe a little bit wrong. But who am I to judge? I desperately wanted to own a R5 GT Turbo on Stealths!
