Polishing Bolts

How to split and rebuild them. Where to find spares. Want gold bolts, wider rims, flat caps etc.

I still usually finish polish by hand but it cuts the work down significantly.

that looks good. did you have any liquid in the tumbler with the media?

that coke method actually works, a bit of brushing but took the sealant off with ease, now that the threads are clean, what does everyone recommend or used to brighten up the bolt heads? im considering soaking them in some CLR since i have it kicking around..

hi guys,
i usually clean and degrease all the bolts, once they are perfectly clean,i take every single one and install it on the drill/dremel...then using some abrasive paste on a towel i let the bolt turn by turning on the dremel...after a little the bolt is perfectly polished and only need to be cleaned for the abrasive paste...sorry for the english..

I would recommend an acid bath at a professional shop. Most of the time chrome plating is a bitch to get off, not even aircraft stripper works a lot of the time.
