Painting rim bolts??

Postby Thommass » 15 Nov 2014 19:20

Hiya I has anyone painted there rim bolts? Really want to do it but the paint will get stripped off when tightening surely? Is there any other ways of doing so eg powder costing or something, just want to see what other methods have been done

Wheels are going on a harlekin polo and I want to see if I can have the wheel bolts matching the harlekin colours.

First remove all the previous paint/rust/whatever as good as You can. Next would be appying a good coat of primer and the paint. Good thing to do is to use a stretch foil underneath the sprocket so the torque doesn't damage the paint.
